18x15 excelerator search coil?

Sand Scoop

New member
I'm looking for any info from someone who has actually used this coil on a Sovereign GT. Depth,Pin pointing,. I'm going to get a new coil for my GT and am considering the WOT but would like to get more info on the BIG coil.

I have used it at 2 DIV's You work it very slow, just a little faster than a turtle runs  If you are familiar with the area of VA that the DIV's are in the ground is extremely hot but I still found a brass bull tag at about 18 inches last year. Unlike the stock Sovereign oil this one pinpoints in the middle of the coil. Beause of the weight of the oil I have rigged up a bungee ord to relieve some of the weight and I also keep my control box mounted on my belt.

In trashy soil that was really worth hunting, I would use the stock coil and dig everything. Then I would mount the big coil and go back over in all metal mode until I found a target and then check it out in disc to see if I wanted to dig it.
