Today was a good day. I found a Women's Relief Corps Metal 1883, from what I read this organization was formed after the Civil War to help support Civil War veterans, I believe they still exist today and place flowers on the grave sites of Civil War soldiers grave sites on Memorial Day.. I also found a Tapp Clothing Company advertising coin (cannot find anything about them), a button, snaffle, and pocket knife. Not a bad evening hunt!

Great evening hunt ! CCH

If you can read very small print, here's a quick history of Tapp: http://books.google.com/books?id=bClRAAAAYAAJ&pg=RA3-PA103&lpg=RA3-PA103&dq=Tapp+Clothing+Company&source=bl&ots=ch450ropZW&sig=YUOCMpS5pW0KT73PPJsCY2Xd8xs&hl=en&sa=X&ei=iBs5UtLLHvKj4AOL0oHYCA&ved=0CCsQ6AEwADgK#v=onepage&q=Tapp%20Clothing%20Company&f=false

Look at page 103 bottom, right side of the page.

Wow thanks for the information. I wish I could find out when they went out of business so I could get an idea of how old the advertising peice is.
