1875 cc Seated Dime

Mark in S.E. IA

New member
Today I got out for about 6 hrs of MD'ing. I found a 1875 cc Seated dime, a no date shield nickel, a 42s War nickel, a real crusty 1884 IH, 3 crusty wheat's, a gold plated ring and a football pendent. The ground at the place I was at was real hard on those coins. The seated dime was jet black and since it was not worth much I shined it up some to make it look better.

X-505, 10.5 DD 7.5 coil, GB at 9, sen at 18 and most coins were around 6" deep.

Those are nice finds I look forward to the day I find a shield nickel.

Sounds like a good day to me! Is that a Key Date?

Nice hunt

Oh no, it's just a common date Seated dime, but a lot of poeple like the CC mint mark over the other mint marks.

Mark,

Really nice old finds.

Beale, you got the MD'er that can find the old coins. The few seated coins that I have found have come from sidewalk tear outs, old parks, old schools and in the woods.. You just need to hit the right place to find one and I know you can.
