1872 INDIAN HEAD CENT

Here is a pic of, what would have been, a nice 1872 Indian Head that I dug up in a house yard that used to bea park back in the 1800's. It was in a site where the old pavillion use to sit. Notice the nicks on it that I made [attachment 71492 1872IndianHeadside1.jpg][attachment 71493 1872IndianHeadside2.jpg]while, CARELESSLY, probing in the ground. After all of these years of hunting, you would think that I would know better. It is still a nice 1877 for having been buried in the ground all of these years.

That is a beautiful coin. After the cruddy Indian heads I have dug up in the past weeks, I appreciate a good coin. Your soil must be great.

Nice coin. Bummer on the nicks. You have to dig every coin like it is worth a mint. Live and learn. Believe me, I've done the same to a few wheat's. I try to be careful because if it's silver or gold they ding up easy.
