1866 x 2 and More!

We had a little group hunt with the Bell-Two Crew, first at an old park that has been good to us over the last couple of years and then at a private residence. We started out at first with a bunch of clad and then moved to another spot in the park. I got 12-30 signal that sounded good and deep after digging down 8+ inches out popped a beautiful 1866 2 Cent piece, in wonderful condition but like my other one holed there was a piece of wire in with it which accounts for the unusual number for it. I was trying out a more open discrimination pattern, the Flying Eagle suggested by Randy aka Digger on some other forums and on the Minelab site, he does a lot of testing for them and he suggested this pattern for the CTX so I thought if it is sauce for the CTX it is sauce for the E-Trac. Diane was using another search pattern and I changed it for her to Digger's pattern after I dug the 2 Cent piece and it paid off right away when five minutes later she called us over to see her very first Shield Nickel! It is an 1866 with Rays between the Stars! Doug got a 1944 Belgium 20 centimes coin...he has a knack for finding the obscure foreign coins! We moved on and did a door knock got an ok from one of the nicest man you would ever want to meet. Doug got a 1940 and a couple of wheats, Diane got a couple of wheats, a pocket watch and a big spoon. Malachi got a wheat just before his detector battery died. I got some clad and a pendant charm and a dog license tag. The gentleman showed us some of the Indian artifacts he had found on his farm and gave Malachi a nice point.
