I found this years ago while dectecting with my dad ,who has past now.It is called a Scorp . It was a tool that was used to get turpentine from the tree.It would have had a long wooden handle on it and there would have been a large rounded chuck of lead on the end of the handle that would give it weight.I found a picture of a old ad from a 1865 hardware catalog.Thought you would like to see it.
