1858 Flying Eagle Penny and a Spider Flat Button

Ace 350

The Flying Eagle One Cent is in rough shape but hey I'll take it any day. It's the oldest coin I've found to date. I'm happy with it. Now, the spider button I don't know how old it is ... Does anyone know the story behind it? It is a bit unusual. Any info would be helpful. Thanks and happy hunting.

Nice finds...i would take that flying eagle any day too and that spider flat button is just plain weird. .. if that flat button is as old or older than the penny its gotta be as rare as hens teeth....

Ace, I think the Flying Eagle is in nice shape, compared to the ones I have dug. The spider button is a bit odd, but very cool. Same depth, same area as the FE?

Never found a flying eagle. Numbers are hard to detect with v3i. Got a 1857 in great shape in change at work. Oldest coin ever received in change.
