1856 1/2 dime

Very nice!

Great find Bob,
When i see a coin like this, I begin to think about its first owner, and all of the people who have handled this over its 160 year history. This to me, is the great thing about being a detectorist!
Happy Hunting

YA CHUCKCIAO

WELL GUYS & GALS
i am retired and can now do metal detecting full time. started 30 years back and was putting in 20hrs a week.
now it is more like 40hrs a week. i am 60 years old and dont know how many more hunts i have . so i give
it hell every day unless i have to take care of business. i have many coins in my collection and will post
from time to time.

HAVE A GOOD HUNT AND REMBER ITS NOT THE KILL ITS THE THRILL!!!!!!!!!

I've heard the reason these old silver =coins has holes in them is to sew them into their clothes so if they ever ran out of money they woulds always have money in case they needed it. I found a holed 1819 capped bust half dollar and a holed 1863 seated liberty half dollar in the same hole about 1 1/2 years ago and someone told me that. Great find.
