1855 calendar token

Tonight after dinner I went back to an old cellar hole that I found the 1893 Indian head at this week and found this token it has wording about being issued semiannually according to congress and something about the clerk of the court for the southern district of NY. Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated. It has six months on each side it was holed at some point and looks to have some gold toning or plating left to it or maybe it's still under the patina
