1849 LC..small tribe of injuns....Awesome V nickel

Spent the whole weekend in the fields with BadJim, fields just arent producing this fall like spring. I can't remember any good fields yet this fall, at least none worth making a return trip to. This spring I had some amazing fields in fact some I have been to 6-7 times and they are STILL producing.

I still managed a keeper or two in each field we were at. Jim got his first ever CW store card, and several indians and a couple tokens, we hit several different spots saturday and sunday, pretty much hunted all day both days.

I managed 1 silver, my silver finds have pretty much went all downhill since starting field hunting, but I have been concentrating on getting a record number of LC's and indians, at least a record for me....I scored 5 indians, takes me to 171 indians for the yr, Smashed last yrs record of 146. I got a real nice 1906 V nickel, and a 1849 LC. I even found a nice point laying on the surface of a beanfield, I always welcome finding indian artifacts. Very little signals in the fields we hit, basically no relics, not a single button for me all weekend, hard to believe.

nickels hold up better in the ground than anything else (not counting silver) but nickels always clean up excellent using my method

That is a sweet lookin V Terry. That's one of the better lookin ones I've seen coming from a field or even a lawn as far as that goes.
