1848 Largie That Someone Tried to Hole

First largie with the nox someone probably shot it then it went flying and they never found it

I noticed a lot of old coins have holes in them?
Is this so they can run a string through them and wear them around their necks so they don't lose them?
Thebig81 or maybe they was tying to punch a hole through it but couldn't finish it.
 
Coins were holed for a few reasons... To be worn, to be sewn into clothes, to be strung... Could have been trying to punch through but it looks like maybe it was shot with a 22 but who knows

Still a nice find, imo LCs usually sound pretty sweet and tid about 33 on the nox 800
I like this better than a normal large cent just because of the damage... It was ringing around a 33 if I remember bounced a little from 31-34... I'm used to the CTX where they usually hit 12-46
