1844 half penny today

Pulled in a 192? Merc, 1919/58/38 wheaty and a 1844 canadian half penny. Oldest coin yet. Took me a few to find it was from canada but still was fun to pull out. Came in with a 44-47 reading that went from 09-16 Fe. I think that was due to alot of iron. Was hunting in TTF.
Thanks for looking and HH.

Now there's a coin I haven't seen on here before! Congratulations on your new "oldest" coin! Thanks for the picture too!

Congratulations on your oldest coin! It cleaned up very nicely. Always fun to find something unusual and do research to discover information about it. Sounds like you had a great detecting day. Thanks for posting.

Thanks all. Wee, I let it soak for a while and then used a tooth pick. (One of the thin flat ones....if you add to much Pressure. It will snap) take my time and work it out. Just dep. on how bad it is.
