I am flynn's TH partner and was with him when he found it at one of my sites (that's a friend for you). We graded it as EF30-EF40. very good shape still has all the reeding on the edge of the coin. Must have been dropped when it was new. Red Book $300-$425. He is going to have it professionally graded. My daughter found a 1826 matron head large cent at the same site 2 days ago.

OH BOY!!!! That's a coin to have professionally graded for sure. You are one great friend! :cheekkiss: But I know if makes you feel good also. We've all been there and done that.

great score!..these old gals are "tough"..people did have them, however
it represented a coin that WAS difficult to replace for a lot of folks back then!.great feeling to pop one once in a while!

(h.h!)
