Came up with a spot to hunt on this gorgeous afternoon. Asked about hunt the farm field, but found out it was planted with Winter Wheat so the guy said hunt the yard. I expected the field would be easier to get than the yard!

I found some clad and a Bell. No silver......

The best finds.....

2 Large ( No Date and 1927 ) and 1915, 1920 and 1940 Wheats

Look closely with a loupe, there is no such thing as a U.S. large cent in 1927, only Canadian. It ios probably an 1827......nge

Ooopppps! That was a BIG typo.
I just noticed that the updated one has a rotated die. Is there a way to determine the date by that error?

Wow a two LC day is awesome! Rotated dies were pretty common in the 1800s....I dug a 1864 fatty indian today that had a serious die rotation, bery common

Well. There went my chance for a large cent in central Nebraska....

Nice finds Duke! Congratulations on getting to hunt the yard and thanks for the pictures buddy!

Thanks for the input Terry. I had two 2 LC days this summer! I dug 7 this year! I'm happy with that!

I was surprised that I didn't dig any Indians but the yard is extremely trashy. Lots of signals and lots of nulling. I know there's good stuff amongst all of the trash.

Also looks like the dated coin was starting to turn into one of those mysterious copper rings.......lol nge

First time since the beginning of October!!!! It felt good!!!

I've only done that once before at an 1820 house detecting with my brother-in-law this past summer. He got two and I got two during the same hunt. We both broke into the 1700s with 1797 and 1798 Draped Bust Cents. That was an awesome hunt!!
