1810 militia buckle

Found this buckle about 8" down on an old farm, can't find it on the net. It dosn't have the green patina over it more blackish gray. Any idea's and do you think it real. Farm date back to mid 1800's. Web site below has data about the buckle provided by Buckleboy from Treasure net site.

Thanks Dude good hearing from you, got alittle more info, but basicly about the same as I post on the other site. Bob and Buckleboy are pretty sure is real, but I'm still looking.

Glad to hear it Good luck with it, heard good stuff about it, I'll stick with the 1270 and 1265 for now. can't wait till Spring that 200 year old farm that I got permission to hunt is driveing me crazy thinking about it, and no ones ever had a machine on it. the old guy that owns it said its been in the family the whole time, he's in his 80's. Was telling me when he was a kid the towns people would rotate harvesting at each farm, said there was a lot of people.
