1809 Silver coin tonight...

After an all afternoon shopping spree at the insane asylum (Mall), more like a Kmart or a Wallmart, I was more than ready for a hunt! It was dark, quiet, peaceful and the miners LED headlamp works well. Was 51F/10C when I left the field at 08:30 and only had a few spurts of rain. Hunted for about 2 hours. Found this silver coin about 30 minutes into the hunt but only dug trash and a few broken relic pieces the rest of the time. Had a good time out there. Obverse of an 1809 silver 6 Kreuzer coin from Bavarian King Maxmilian Joseph.

Reverse of the 1809. Loving this weather! HH, Mike

Even though I have coin hunted for about 35 years, I have never went out hunting at night. Sure, I have stayed after dark when I got busy digging coins, and ran out of daylight. But never actually started out after dark. Too cold and snowy to do that here, now. I just might give that a shot when the spring thaw comes along.
Again, nice coin. Keep showing those of us buried in the snow, just what is still out there waiting to be dug. HH Randy
