I found this where a 1800's homestead was located. Any one have an idea? Its heavy

I saw your post over on the Deus forum.
Looks like you have a great spot to hunt.
Your piece IMHO is a Game board piece.
Used to keep count. Similar to a Cribbage board.
Could have been used for Dice or Cards.
Just a WAG but it may put you in the right direction.
 
I think that you are right, Hunting Dog! My wife's grandfather was a serious cribbage and euchre player and he had a similar score keeping piece. Best of luck and...
