18 x 15 coil

pleasure, Shane!

all depends on the hours you put in mostly but the 18 x 15 SEF is an amazing coil if you can handle the weight. It particularly detects bigger objects at good depth

you got to get out there!!)

I just went through all your videos. excellent job on those!

Congrats on your latest find. You guys sure find some good stuff over there across the ocean

Thanks, Exploregon

I learnt most of my stuff from this forum, and its members' excellent knowledge of the machine

I've seen some of the jewellery you pull out of the water over there so we're equal ;o)

And I will soon buy a big silver dollar because I love them!

Amazing, you live in a great location.
Congratulations again.
:clapping:

Congrats on your finds, You are about to convince me to get that 15X18 coil. I have the WOT 15" and it is already havy so this should be a little more. hurt.
HH.

Be careful with coil size for coin/ring hunting if you want max depth. At least in my soil I found that even the 15x12 got less depth than the 12x10 on coin/ring sized targets. I believe the 15x12 was washing in too much ground signal and degrading the target quality. The 15x12 is right on the edge also in terms of showing depth gains on say dime sized targets. Some say about 14" is the max DD size to still see gains on dime sized targets, while it will of course get bigger stuff deeper. The official field tests found the 12x10 was a bit deeper on say coins about the size of a 3 cent piece and from memory the 15x12 was about even with it on dime sized stuff. Of course a lot of this can depend on your soil or sand. Lower minerals probably will show gains with it on coin sized stuff while at least in my somewhat mineralized soil it did not. The coverage of the 15x12 was awesome though, and for some odd reason it did get deeper than stock in my mineralized sand but not on land in terms of dime/ring sized targets.

That 18x15 I would figure is well beyond the size of showing gains in coin sized stuff, but for sure in terms of larger targets it's probably going to punch deeper for say cache hunting and such. Coverage I'm sure is awesome too, just like the 15x12 was. The 12x10 is still a nice improvement in coverage over my stock 10" coil, though.
