18" EXcelerator Coil on MXT?

Since the MXT is a good vlf gold machine, I am wondering if anyone has thoughts on, or experience using the 18" EXcelerator coil/MXT combo, for electronic prospecting? Since many of the Pulse-type detector users go for big coils nowadays, why not a big DD coil on a good vlf, to locate big nuggets deeper and cover more ground on the smaller nuggets? Especially since larger DD coils tend to retain their sensitivity to smaller targets and see less ground volume/mineralization, unlike large concentric coils CC.

The 18" will work, just turn down the gain. he 14" would be even better if there is an exsessive amount of mineralization.
