18.5 khz Laser Trident - Like a vaq on steroids

Tested the new Laser in the field yesterday. It promises to be a good machine - with the discrim set just above the iron
mark it signals a 5p coin right alongside a reasonable sized piece of iron. The sensitivity to very small fragments of
lead and copper alloy is very good also. I found running it super tuned made the signals loud and clear. I'll report on
how it performs on my saxon site after next weekend.

I called tesoro and they said this detector is will not be for sale in the united states. How does it disc out small foil? I had a tejon I and I dug alot of small foil, now I have a vaquero and I dig a lot less foil and it seems to hit harder on small silver. Is the trident as stable and powerful as the vaquero? If so I would sure like to try one for nugget shooting.

The 18.5khz trident increases the sensitivity of the machine for the type of finds we make in Britain,
such as thin sectioned hammered medieval silver coins. Some and Roman and Anglo-Saxon coins
are also very small. We only have the discrimination set to knock out small nails - if we knock out
foil we would not get these coins. Foil on ploughland and pasture (where most of our searching is
done) is not a problem, although I appreciate that for paks etc it would be.

Does it use the TEjon/Vaquero line of coils or did they have to make up some new ones for it? If new, what type are they, concentric/widescann and what kind of sizes?
