1797 Copper, buttons and whatsits

Found a new cellar hole. Dates on same are up in the air but probably late 1700's. The area is mowed and used as a flower garden in some areas. Below are some pictures of the Drapped Bust Cent I found today. I was on site for about 30 minutes, searching haphazardly at first to check out the site when I got a solid 12-40 both directions with the X-5 coil right at the front edge of the foundation.
Digging was extremely easy, the area is moss covered and what seems like loose, dry dirt. About 3"-4" down I got this nice greenie. The back was easily legible but the front has a layer of corrosion that I can't get off. You can barely make out the right facing lady. I can see the date with good light, 1797. I hope to clean it up a little more. Tried the peroxide bath for quite a while with no real results.
Does anyone have any idea what the several toppers are. I think maybe fence toppers. There are about 25-30 of them varying sizes have threads and wood inside.
I also got some buttons on site. This site has a ton of iron. Null most everywhere 80-90% of the time. Hopefully I will get some more nice finds soon. HH

Congratulations and nice finds Mick! Thanks for the pictures too. I don't have any idea on the "toppers". They almost look like something off a fold up chair....but I very highly doubt it.
