1768 Spanish half real with a hole in it

Hi guys!
I was fortunate enough to dig up this nice coin this morning. It was in a location that I had previously detected years ago. At that time I had dug up a lot of large cents. I decided to go back there today and dig some of the very questionable signals I had left behind. Thankfully it paid off.

funny that !! they used full reales to make our 1st coins and have the nick name holey dollars guess they all have holes in them?

Maybe someone had it as a modern day necklace (thus the hole) and lost it recently. I had a girlfriend who wore a piece of a Reale like that.

awesome way to go, I have also started to look at the questionable signals thinking trash and am finding some coins mixed with trash but still hit hard enough to dig. wtg
