17 inch coil?

I use my 17 inch a lot on my etrac. I have hunted in the woods, fields, and even parks, as well as lots. Haven't always been able to use it, but covering more ground with more depth is part of the best practices at times. If I CAN use the 17, I will.

For my Ctx, I bought both the 17 and the 6 inch. Each is a tool to be used in the appropriate area.

There is an adage in detecting. He who covers the most ground accurately with a coil wins. While I wouldn't., up to this point, use 17 inches on a scraped lot, I very much would and have in a place where deep targets can be detected and ground conditions allow

:ausflag:So as I see it the 17 inch for the CTX 3030 :beers: is perfect for wet beach and dry beach hunting, your deeper and cover area's quicker.

I have used the 17 inch heaps and it is great for deep targets and the beach, used mainly in parks and ovals with open space and minimal trash. I did pull a target from the edge of a large target which should be posted on Treasure Talk at some point. It certainly has some punch as for 20% not sure but definitely gets down to depth best was a penny at 13 inches.
