17 inch coil CTX 3030

This evening (june 7) I used the 17 inch coil for the CTX 3030 for the first time and it goes deep!
I found a chopping knife (probably World War two) 52 centimeter/21 inches deep in muddy, slightly salty ground.
And this with iron discrimination 'on'!
Who has experience with very deep laying finds and how deep?
Kind regards and happy hunting.
Willem from the Netherlands.

Wow, I use the 17 inch coil almost exclusively. I have not done at target near that deep.

I am not sure what to get, I was thinking of going with the 6" to get around alot of junk but at the same time I wanted to cover more ground and go a little deeper with the17. Know they have the nine, it will all straighten it's self out.I think I will keep the Eleven work it a little slower and useit underwater moor.Thing will work them self out

The 17" coil is killer on depth and coins on edge. I use it almost exclusively. I also watched a cc seated half come out from 9" plus and on edge. The coverage is unparalleled. I call mine the starship enterprise. ;) I can hardly stand to use the 11" coil anymore. Just sweep slower and listen and you can hear the silver or gold in with the iron. I pulled out a merc. At 6" with iron all around it. Also a 14k white gold ring the same way from the beach. Grumpy
