17" coil cover

Has anyone had a problem with the fitting of the coil cover on the 17" coil. Mine does not fit nice and tight like the 6" and 11" coil covers.

personally it fits good for a big coil cover......as good as it gets....

I'm gonna toss mine ....it is a sand magnet and will weigh it down pretty quick.....plus the coil is more feather wise without it....

like a race horse in lead galoshes...... may cost me a new coil down the road... but i doubt it...

its all about the finds and willingness to make it Happen.... at any cost....

Yeah, besides just being so damn big. The cover was the first thing I noted, as not fitting properly. For the price it retails for, it's not something I'd expect from a OEM manufacturer. I mean it snaps on, but there are large gaps in the holding points and I'm sure its going to fill up with dirt. I actually took it off just to see if something was wrong or not fitted properly. But after an inspection it all looked good and fit as loosely as it did right out of the box. Well, this will help me in keeping my machine clean as there is no way I'm letting dirt and mud get all crusted up in there.

I use silicone, prevent dirt to get in and giving false signals

What type of silicon do you use?

fits ok for me but does seem to collect tons of dead grass when detecting. just spray off when i get home. D
