1600'sKnee Buckle

BARKER

New member
Hi Folks;Got out last Sunday to a new area and found a "knee" buckle from the 1600's. Remember the baggy type pants the Pilgrims etc. wore?? Well they wore a strap with a buckle that is like a belt buckle. It held the pants in tight at the knees. This was called a knee buckle. I found one from about 1650 - 1670. My partner found one fron the late 1500's. around 1590.They are small but ornate aboutt th size I almost fell over.I don't know what the value is but both were complete except ffor the tongue bar. Going back there tis Sunday. I'll keep you posted. I'm getting a camera so I can post pics shortly. I'm fired up.The house was built in 1641 and the field was even used by the Indians for crops befoe that.I can hardly wait. The scenery is spectacular as well. I can sense the "TREE" coins calling me here.I'll let you know. PEACE:RONB :super: :hot:
