1600's Scottish Coin Found At The Club Hunt

This is the 1600's hammered Scottish coin that I found at our clubs 2 day hunt a couple weeks ago. It is a Charles 1st twopence and was coined between 1642 and 1650. This is what makes metal detecting so much fun, you never know what will come out of the ground. Since the ground is so wet and the temps are in the 70's this week I think the detector is going to get a workout starting today. Truly amazing Darryl. Congratulations. And thank you for putting up the pictures.

Hi Ned

I was using the e-trac. The coin was up against a tree and about 4 inches deep. The vdi numbers were a bit odd but the tone said "dig me".

Unreal!!! Congrats Daryl. Now you are a member of the 1600's club. Not many of us can say that.

Nice pic Daryl, it cleaned up real nice.

WOW! What a beauty too. BIG congrats on the find Daryl. That's a story to "show and tell" to the grandkids. HH, Nancy
