My wife had a short outdoor singing gig this morning at a local restaurant. The restaurant is located across the street from a small park so I decided to do a bit of detecting while she was working. I only had about an hour and a half to hunt before we had to leave so I got to it quickly. I don't think this park gets hunted much because I was finding lots of clad, mostly only one to two inches down and not a lot of trash. It was getting close to quitting time when I got a nice solid 12-23 signal. Now, usually this is a pull tab or can slaw, but not this time. I dug the item up and saw that it was a ring, a really heavy ring. I thought GOLD!! Great!! Then I looked inside the ring and I saw, 1999 Tiffany & Co. Pt 950. My first platinum ring and it's a big one, 16.5 grams of 950 platinum.
