I have had it on my detector for 10 minutes and took it to the test garden. It has equal or better separation in my test garden than the d2. I also gained at least 1 1/2"-2 of depth on my silver dollar with iron square nail that is within 3". The vdi is a little jumpier but I have it buried at 13" and the grass is 2" high. I would also have to run the v3 at 15 to strongly hit it. I could run the SEF at Gain 7 and get a good signal. I was not able to do this with the D2.
The new SEF coils are said to be v-rated and I can run mine at 15 on the gain and run tx boost in deep silver. Air test on a clad dime appeared to be around 10". In 3 frequency I could run gain at 12 and tx boost on but no higher.
More testing to follow....and here is some more.
Air testing of the SEF.
Buffalo Nickle 10"
Wheat cent 11.5"
Winged Liberty head dime 12.5"
Silver quarter 1953 13"
1921 Silver dollar 16.5"
Silver nugget 1.3 ounces or so. 15"
14k gold 3gram vintage ring 10"
Silver pocket watch 19+"
Much to my surprise deep silver has become much quieter and time will tell if this will be my new favorite program to work with.
