Front row all 18k, men's ring is 9.9 gr.  Had good success this time with the CTX (stock and 17" coils) and my w/p CS6PI--great, lively circuit in the interference zones helped me to beat the local hackers.
Also took an Excal, DF, and GQA2.TW= 1.53 ozs.

Matt, that's one of Eric foster's machines--a PI that he made for the English company C-Scope. White's was looking at making a waterproof version and had Eric in to make the board smaller. I wound up with a prototype. It's the one on the right.

Clive............Very nice finds............I haven't hunted in the water for about 3 years...........I miss seeing the shiny stuff in the scoop... Have a bad shoulder from all the swinging.....

Look forward to seeing your next haul.......John in Va...

I love taking a pi out. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. I built a Whites knock off Surf Pro from a pre-assembled board sold on a well known web sites. First time out and 2 minutes in to a hunt on a local beach a mens tunston ring about blew my heads phones off. There's not a hair pin or a tent peg on the beach that gets a way from me either. Really scary when you find a rusty syrenge, just the thought of someone stepping on that. Hopefully I can slip away for some beach hunting over the holidays, maybe even sneak off to FL.
That's some great finds you got there, happy holidays.

Hi guys. I have a question for you veteran hunters....I'm super new here and just as green, but forever now I have been wanting to get into Metal Detection. I don't want anything fancy or expensive. What is the best unit I can buy for around 300-400 dollars? I have been looking at a Garrett package deal. It comes with the pin pointer and some other things. I think it's around 372.00 for the package deal.
