1500 coils

I would like to hear from someone who has or has used a 7x10 or 5x10 coil. I have a 10x14 dd coil for sale or trade. Ron Burton

I am interested in the DD coil but I want to attach it to my 750 and I'm guessing you have the model for the 1500. If I have guessed wrong, let me know. Sorry but I do not have any of the coils you are looking for.

Ron,
Sorry to hear you didn't like the DD coil.
I can offer some insight on the 5x10 elliptical coil. Simply said, for certain uses, I LOVE it!!! It's excellent in trashy areas and is superb in competition hunts. It's hard to imagine an easier coil to pinpoint with than the 9.5 inch imaging coil, but I'd say the 5x10 is a darn close second. For competitions, it's much lighter and faster to swing than either of the imaging coils and once you've mastered it, almost as quick pinpointing. (Just wiggle the coil back and forth until the signal disappears then dig your target right off the tip of the coil!) ID doesn't seem to be as effective as with the imaging coils, and depth seems to be somewhat less, but I feel like I'm covering a lot more ground in less time.
Hope that helps!
