15 wheats, 2 Injuns, still no silver coins...

hit the spot where I got 8 wheats the other day, spent a few hours there.... 15 wheats, 2 IH's, a 1920 Canadian cent, a old copper ring, a small thin silver ring, and a bunch of clad and other things.... NO silver coins from this spot yet.. I know they are there... the IH's were DEEP! the one was a 09-35 at 10" and the other was a 05-32 at 13"... the copper ring was found near the 10" IH and was also 10" roughly the length of the lesche...

If your hitting coins at that depth, 10 inches, it's only a matter of time until you find silver ! Keep at it and good job !!

I get them at 10" all the time but not in the ground. I have to contend with that 6" clover that keeps me from getting the coil on the ground. Good job on the Indians most people pass them up for Zincs. I got a small silver Ring yesterday that rang up at 01-32 but it sounded good.

With their being 15 wheat's, their has to be silver there . Just work it slow and dig those iffy signals.

That's some good digs for just a couple hours. Looks like a good spot.
The lots of wheats and no silver reminds me of this little elementary school close to my place
that I go to for short one or two hour hunts. I was at 32 wheats before I finally found a silver dime there.
After that I found one on each of the next two hunts as well as a silver war nickel. Funny how that goes sometimes.

It's all about the Silver to Wheatie Ratio keeping your attitude positive.

I know that if I am finding wheaties, there are likely to be silver coins in the same area. My ratio of wheaties to silver has been 1 silver coin for every 6 wheaties. Over the years this ratio has held very steady. Not for every single site, but for hunting overall week after week and so forth. Thinking of it in this way keeps my mind sharp and attentive while I am hunting. I firmly believe in the saying, seek and ye shall find. It is true to life in general and true in metal detecting as well. Keep a positive attitude and pay attention.

Have to agree, when I find wheats I find silver almost always!
