15 Union minnie ball bullets

On July 18, 2007, I detected in Gettysburg, PA with the landowner's permission. He said that he had a feeling that the little stream running through his land would be a good place to try. To my amazement, I dug not one, but 15 Union minnie ball bullets. All of them were in a 2'X 2' area. It took my breath away :) My biggest and best find yet with my White's XLT.

That is an amazing find in such a small area! Probably a cartridge box was dropped there or some kind of ordinance container.You are very lucky to get to hunt anywhere near Gettysburg! Keep at it! HH!
