15 KHz vs 5.5 KHz ???

Seeking any info about mixing coils on equipment. Bought 2 Garrett 5.5 KHz Deepseeker coils, got them out of the box and realized that some one had replaced the original 5 pin connectors, with 4 pin GroundHog connectors. The GroundHog being 15 KHz. What damage can it do or is there any other implications or possabilities ??Any info or insight would greatly be appreciated. Thankyou in advance

Garrett changed from 4 pin connectors to 5 pin and on some models the coil connector was the male end and some were the female end.
All depends upon the year the Master Hunter (long box) or the Groundhog was made

Again Thankyou, I started reading everything I could Download from Treasurelinx web site. Had no idea of the mixing of connectors. I have been called many things for MY understanding. I have ADS 1 and an ADS 3 that are both 5 pin. Many people keep telling me that all were 4 pin until ADS 5 !! I know this is not true. So simply gave up argument and dummied up. The smartest thing I have ever done
