** 15 Inch Coil .. first day at the Beach Report **

Tried the new 15"coil out on the Nox today, worked just the one beach, mainly wet sand.

Three hours produced a Sagittarius Pendant,Buckle Ring & Wedding Band, all 9ct .. total weight 9.4 grams. All were faint but solid signals, between 10" & 12"deep.
A few more green coins and a couple of very old style sinkers as well.

The buckle ring was a first for me but it was just too far corroded with the copper leaching that it broke whilst cleaning it.
It definitely punches deeper than the stock coil. Also didn't notice much difference with the weight & swung very smoothly.

So today has probably paid off half the new coil already .. very happy!

Now that sounds like a outstanding hunt. Do you think your stock coil could have picked these up? Or is the 15" definitely more powerful?

Hard to tell really, probably most would have but I doubt it would have picked up the small medallion, it was quite faint & deep.

Nice rings..did the small medallion give a solid vdi number or you heard the faint sound ?..what number came up on it..

I usually just go by the signals at the beach, this was a very faint one.
After I had scooped it out the number was a solid 15.

Everyone keeps saying they are getting faint sounds. Im finding very little modulation with this machine. I get a little more with piezo vs speaker headphones. Im getting a size difference....... but this machine to me doesnt sound like say an explorer when using less gain/modulation. On the Explorer running 7 gain as opposed to 10 i really got weak defined signals. To me its like running 10 gain in a trashy park..... there isnt a lot of weak signals. BUT..... i do have some really good phones too.... and there is a difference. Congrats on those tickets...... you can tell from the copper bleeding..... its been there awhile. Its not always about the depth....... sometimes its about the increased sensitivity to the target giving a better response.
