15.25 oz of copper. My first find!

I know it doesnt compare to finding valuable coins and jewelry, but I had a blast finding this native copper! Was using my new Ace 250 and Pro-pointer.

Can you tell us more on how and where you found the raw copper? The american Indians would locate copper and use them as arrow heads back in the day. I should say the Indians from the North country such as in Wisconsin etc.

:usaflag:Nice finds. Michigan also has some pre-historic copper mine sites.

Great finds, thanks for sharing. I was told that copper in it's natural state is kind of green, but I'm not sure I would have picked up on the fact it was copper.

I'm wondering, how much value can you get for that sorta copper? Although it's really a neat find, I'm curious if there is a big market for that kind of copper?

Very Nice, You must live close to me. Upper Michigan? I have found and sold alot of native copper and silver.

Yes! Upper Michigan.
Took a vacation up there this year, again. I love that part of the country.
I'm not sure about selling any of it. Right now its worth more than gold! ;-)
I guess I need to brush up on the silver finds. I'm sure we ran across some and its all still in the bucket out in the shop.
I am obviously very new to this hobby, and need to find out more. We will just never forget this first copper find!!!

Thank you all for the comments, Jim.
