I was resting from the road trip to Clearwater Beach (168 miles R/T) and 81/2 Hrs. hunting yesterday. My wife after years of watching me find treasures decided she wanted to learn how to MD. So off to a local beach we go, when I say local ,about 30 miles one way, but I wanted to have a place where it would be easy to dig , not rocks ,clay or the muck in the local lakes I hunt that smells like crap. Offered her my Excal., but she took a cheap water detector I have had for awhile. We hit the water and targets were far and few in between, allot of holes from other Pirates hitting this beach. After an hour and few finds, I went over next to where she was hunting, as I approached where she was I got a good signal, but figured it was another pulltab, or foil so I told her to check it with the machine she was using. She said it was a stronger signal than the trash she had dug before, so I told her to go ahead and dig it up, you guessed it 14K small band, went from the scoop straight to her finger ,and it fit, so she baby sat it back to the house. We decided I found it, she dug it, it is community property and hers to wear whenever she wants.
