i found this at the older park here in town. vid was 33-36 or so on my mxt with the 6x10 DD coil. i am really enjoying this detector. my xlt may never get used.
been out 3 times and have found at least 1 good item each time. found over 5 bucks in change also., this 6x10 coil does a very good job separating trash. well im going back out to find some more goodies. have a great day everyone!!

Awesome find
Keep up the good work

Excellent find! :clapping: It must be a fairly large size ring or a substantial amount of gold in it since the numbers were a bit higher than just an average sized gold band. Way to go and thanks for posting and also the encouragement that there's hope that we'll be able to get out and detect soon. But then you never know with this Illinois weather!:cry: HH and keep us posted on the MXT finds, Nancy

Nice ring BTM. I found my first (and only so far ) gold ring on my first hunt with the 6x10, it was a gold band also. Yours must be a lot heftier than mine cuz my VDI was somewhat lower than yours, around 25 if I remember correctly. How deep and in what type of ground did you find it ?

it was about 5 to 6in deep in mild ground.im am not sure why it id so high...i wear a large 10k ring. this ring is not as thick but 14k . was only my 3rd time out with my mxt and still learning what it is telling me. its a simple machine and thats one of the reasons i love it so much.i also have a xlt but favor the mxt. thanks for the posts!

well i checked the ring for the first time out of the ground...VDI 30 every time. was 32 or 33-36 in the ground.ring on my finger is 10k and reads 37 VDI...there were pieces of can slaw every where so maybe a tiny piece in the hole with ring. all i know is this 6x10 coil was separating 3 diff things that were all in a 4 inch circle. when i slow down swinging you could tell it was like a wiper blade going over the metal items. also i was digging dimes and pennies at 6-7 inches with strong signals. i have no clue just how deep this coil will go but in a park setting its working. i have done alot of reading before getting my first whites machine and its sites like this that helped me make my choice.

You did your homework and It's paying off. Now that's satisfaction. Good solid work. Keep it up.
