14K ring found....White gold ring yet to be found!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
Went into the 'trenches' today......the trenches being the area around the park benches/tables which are thickly carpeted with ring pulls. I swear there are $100's of dollars worth of aluminum to be collected there and waiting to be cashed in!!!!
While I snagged the 14k ring, a man came over and told me about his white gold wedding ring he lost. It was along a bike trail that runs through town here. He told me where he stopped his bike on the trail to shake the sweat off his hands and dry them before continuing on. He actually heard the ring "bouncing and ringing" as it went who knows where!
After getting info; regarding the aprox; spot, I asked him "when did you loose the ring"?..........."Oh last year"!....crap!!!!!! I got his contact info;and went to the bike path. I walked both sides where he said he lost it. The mulch is thick and full of junk and because the temps today are around 100 F and I was soaked with sweat, this ring, if it's still there will have to wait another day!

That's a great find from a park, Goldstrike. If you was using your Safari, may I ask what number it came in at?

Outstanding find there Goldie! :clapping: Shoulda got a 20 dollar deposit from that guy! Or maybe 50?

Thanks FKP.....and yes O.L., I was swinging my Safari and it I.D'ed at 30 with a low tone. I didn't have to work for that ring much because it was hiding under all the fallen leaves! In the afternoon's here in SoCal; the Santa Anna winds blow in and whip up the leaves etc; so it's very easy for someone to loose something in the morning and by afternoon, it's under a carpet of leaves!
Mud, I never though about getting a deposit!:clapping: The chances are slim because that bike trail is very well used but if I can locate it and it's the same ring as he lost, I'll return it cuz he seemed a nice guy!
I just got in from a very short hunt and will post my finds shortly!
