14K eyeballed chain!

Spent a little time on the beach before the temps got too much for me to handle!! Spotted just a tiny glint in the sand and pulled this chain out! Looked at it closer and saw the 14K Italy so even though I only found a bunch of clad and a couple of junk rings, it wasn't a wasted trip. I passed it under the coil and sure enough, it didn't register so lucky for me, I eyed it. Can I claim it as 'detected'? lol!....Happy hunting all!
P.s.....I have a protective screen cover but it's almost not see through so I don't put it over....I need to get another, that sand is really abrasive!

Hi, GS! I had the same thing happen to me once on Tybee Island beach. I didn't even have the detector with me! There was barely a glint of gold. I expected foil and pulled up a crucifix on a large gold chain.

Great score... the 1st chain i ever found gave the smallest disturbance of a signal ..the only reason i found it was cause i was looking for micro jewelry and a tiny tiny hair of gold caught my eye...best chain i ever found,almost walked away from it... congrats on a great find..

Thanks everyone for your comments! This yellow metal is getting harder and harder to find anymore and I just get excited when I see any of it, even if it's just a small gold item or in this case, a small gold chain. Going to get back to the beach again and hope to find lot's of fresh drops from this weekend's sun bather's! I just hope they splashed lot's of lotion on them because it make's my job easier!lol!
