Heh...I was about to reply to your original post and tell you how incredible it was that you found THAT MUCH at the beach, the way things are now...that would be a feat! Then I saw where you were at a school. Still, darn respectable.

I think you and David have figured out why it is that I go MIA at the beach this time of year and turn my attention to land hunting. It gets old after a while, digging 3 crusty pennies and a fish hook. But the tourists are coming and my Excal is ready. I figure on switching over to all beach around the middle of May. I'm ready for some gold again.
 
a 142 coin day is impressive! Nice percentage of nickels in that haul... gold is in your future :)
