1400 DEEP SCAN?

Lot of old postings, nothing recent so asking a few questions, : read where its a heavy coil...how does it fall weight wise with my 12 inch whites coil...learned to love that coil but lot of minerals in ground here...and is there any depth increase to be worth buying a "DEEPSCAN"? Just want to get decent depth in highly mineralized ground here...lot of overloads just swinging over the rocks around here with larger coil.

Hi Curt, the deepscan is heavier than the 12".To be honest i did'nt really see the gain in depth as enough to warrant keeping mine. You can offset the weight a little by shortening the stem and swinging the coil a little closer to your feet but you'd probably be better of with the 12x10 sef....just as deep and a little lighter.

Go with a SEF 10 X 12 or I use the 12 X 15 SEF. I had the 1400 deep scan did not like it, heavy and not much more depth for the weight.
