I've been on vacation in Texas a month and a half. I haven't found anyone to detect with but I found my first gold ring today. The ring is a 5/16 inch wide 14kt gold band in super condition. I was using a 5" excelerator coil and the ring read 57-60 just like a zinc penny. I've been limited to two small parks. I've also found 610 clad coins. I can't wait to get to the beach next month.
