Took the machine out again last night 8 30pm -9 30pm, I find hunting at night can be cool especially as you can concentrate on the deep faint targets. :goodnight:

Last night yielded a very deep (4 big scoops) very very faint signal...so I dug anyway.

18ct female gold, sapphire and two diamonds. Worth to have appraised!

Talking about deep rings... how is anyone's experience with the mono or large coils? Are these really needed or an advantage on the beach?

I have used the 8" mono extensively on the Infinium. I tried the 9" x 12+ mono coil, and have never returned to the 8" mono coil. The ATX is unique, in that the standard coil was engineered to pick up both small and large conductive targets. There comes a point when hunting in water/sand, where it's very difficult to dig beyond a certain depth, as the sand just keeps on filling in the hole between scoops. Now on land, and even bigger coil will probably give you an advantage, as you could get depths where few detectors have ever reached. Now that could be a lot of digging, but the rewards just might make it worth your while.
