14" Excelerator.

One thing I noticed about the 14" excelerator is that you need to wrap the coil line just right or you will get alot of chatter, I change back and forth from the 14" to the whites 4"x6" and every now and then the 14" coil would chatter as thought I was going over broken up foil, I would raise the MXT coil end waiste level, turn on the detector and the chatter would start right up with out getting close to the ground, the display reading while chattering would be from -10 to +20, to correct the problem I wrap the coil cable around the detector rod, 4 times and tye strap at the bottem then I took the axcess coil cable and tied the slack up to make sure the cable was secure, I think the cable on the coils is too long but anyways It worked, the chattering quit,
so If your coil seems to seem to talk too much try what I did,

Thanx,
I have to try to remember that. Mine kinda got super sensitive on me. Going in for a checkup. The stock coil just feels funny on the end of my mxt after using the 14 for so long. Tell ya what though, if you can deal with the few ounces of extra weight it would be a definate advantage to anyones arsenal. The little 5 inch is a super little coil and gets great depth for it's size.

Mine did exactly the same thing--J.W. sent me a new 1 and this one works BETTER than great--Also RALPH sent a replacement for my DX1 and it works %1000 better-They now use a STRAIGHT cord 30 inches in length-No more tangles--Much Much better------ Deathwind1
