14" excelerator coil problem solved

today i called J W at kelly co and told him my problem , that i traded my 6x10 for a 14" excelerator coil and that the coil was bad and that the guy who traded whith me did not think to much of it and put it away in his closet not realizing it was defective so he traded whith me , by the way gene has already sent the coil back to me and i will be sending the defective coil back to him , but hear is the cool thing JW is going to send me and 8" excelerator coil to try and if i like it i pay 110.00 a bargain keep in mind i did not originaly buy the 14 " coil but they still treat me like a coustomer and im totaly happy whith that kelly co costomer service is exelent i can say that they had no obligaition to help me but im impressed whith them i can say that and i look forward to trying out the 8" coil im going to put my 6x10 up for sale so i can try moor coils until i try out most of them i will not be able to make a final choice thanks for all your help fourum people the 6x 10 DD eclips is a good coil i would say i have no complants whith it but its strong point is not depth but it covers ground fast picks out the coins and is light and anything fron 0 - 5" you will find for shure and i find it a bit deeper in the sand

Yes Kelly Co is good..but remember this JW is the best.He gets it done !!!!

Gunnar,
I think it would be nice if you could put up a list of the coils you have tried and a brief review on each.
Like this:
these are coils I have and my opinions. I have the 950 and the 6X10 but only have used them once or twice and haven't used them enough to form a decent opinion.

5.3 Eclipse coil-- good depth and decent separation.
4.5X7 DD Excelerator coil- better target separation than the 5.3, gets closer to metal poles than the 5.3 before sounding off, detects a bit deeper.
