Why does the 1500 cost more money ? Are they the same on detph ? Is the 7" x 10" coil on the 1350 a DD coil ? Thanks & HH..BJ

I have never used a 1500 so I can't answer those questions. It isn't a DD coil though it's a regular functioning coil with an elipitical shape to it. I'm just a new user not a dealer or anything <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug">

I understand Profiling gives you 3 sizes and know Imaging give you 5 sizes...I am sure learning either one could do well...sort of making available products for every size pocketbook..Hard to tell as the GTI1500 has been around for years and the 1350 is the new kid on the block with limited input...

The 1500 has a little more to it. The 1350 will let you use a variety of coils in the profile mode where as the 1500 has 2 coils you can use for the image feature. I`m thinking of the 1350 for next year because of the coil factor. I`m wondering if Garrett will be working on other imaging coils for the 1500 and the 2500.

The 1500 is far and above the better det. but it does cast a little extra. The true sizing on the 1500 and 2500 is not the same deal as any other det. from garrett or anyone else. If you can swing it go for the 2500 you'll end up there sooner or later anyway. If not go for the 1500.

1500 has more features including imaging. Depth is a little better than 1350 and the 7x10 is a concentric.
