13" Ultimate

I have been following the discussions on the 13" Ultimate coil, I had been thinking that I might like one, but I already have 12 x 10 SEF coil. Would it be worth having both? Is there a $179 difference?

Both good coils but I prefer the 13".

I think the SEF is slightly heavier.
It does make difference--even the 2 or 3 ounces between the Ultimate and the Procoil is noticeable after a few hours.

I have had 2 of each and sure the SEF is a good coil but the 13" is easier to swing and lighter but it also just seems to handle the deeper ones a little better.

This is of course just my opinion.

Ultimate gets my vote. I have both and couldn't tell you the last time I used the sef.

I e never used the big SEF coils but I do like my smaller 8x6. However, I absolutely love my Ultimate. I haven't taken it off since I got it a month ago. I think the thing just gives better more consistent tones on what were deep iffy signals on the ProCoil. Not much heavier than stock. I've decreased the length of the lower rod and it seems to have helped dramatically in the weight difference.
