just recently got this coil been playing with it a bit no great things yet to be said but it,s not to heavy to use feels about like stock pro coil on my se covers ground well i just read the post on inchs will try a better mind set tomorow go real slow in very small area and see what happens this coil runs real stable using bryces settings been using them a lot latly any thoughts or hints on this new coil welcome i,ll be running it for awhile

chase "iffy" hits with it because 4 out of 5 times it ended up being junk for me.

If this coil passes over a coin...it will definitely tell you so.

Normally I take chances on iffy type hits with all my other coils...but learned NOT to with this one.

If I didn't get a nice repeatable signal on 3 of 4 angles as I circled the undarg target...it ended up being trash almost every time.

Just a trait unique to the Ultimate 13"

Interesting Bryce.... maybe they are getting better at TID. Because of weight and size you could cover a lot of BEACH. Anyone using it on the beach and testing gold depth especially on small targets. How compatable do you think it would be with the WOT?

I'm using one on an E-Trac but I'm pretty happy with it. Like Bryce said, if it's a coin down there it won't lie. It seems to really hit hard on the copper and silver. Seems to give a more positive sound to me. If it's iffy I'm learning to ignore it, it's always been junk.

Read Bryce's field tests of the 12x10 in the coil sticky. Also, if you dig up his Ultimate field tests he compares them a bit. You may not be hearing much lately but search this forum for 12x10 and you'll find tons of talk on it. All I'll say is the 12x10 is beyond just an "OK" coil to most people who have used one, on both the FBS and the BBS machines. Depth and separation is fantastic. For me so far this coil is the best coil I've ever used on any machine over the years. Never comes off my machine except for while I'm testing the 13" Ultimate. Still in the early stages of that but it looks to be a great coil too in it's own respect. Different than the 12x10 in certain ways, but never the less a great coil by the looks of it so far. I've got more poker chip target marking to do and then swap coils to see if any shows an advantage. One thing for sure the Ultimate makes deep targets sound about twice is loud to me, though the 12x10 also makes targets louder than my stock coil, and I don't have any trouble hearing the deepest of stuff with it, but still the extra loud nature of the Ultimate is "interesting" and I'm still seeing where that takes me depth wise with it.

Oh by the way, I'm talking about on a BBS machine, so take what I say with a huge grain of salt. Better to read Bryce's field reviews of it and the 12x10 in some comparisons and see what he has to say, as coils can perform different on one model detector versus another.

OK thanks a bunch..... I think I have a 12x10 bought if not ill get the 13 detech ultimate coil for my explorer se

WELL i didn't get the 12x10 so I'm getting the 13'' . Where is the best place and quickest to order from

Kellyco is the only dealer with them in the USA. The manufacturer is often back ordered. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for an Ultimate 13. People can get upset because they don't always know an arrival date for the coils but that's out of their control. The same problems have been going on with the SEF coils.

i gotmy 13 inch thru kellyco was going to get the 12/10 but not in stock the 13 inch ulitimate was

I am considering getting it too. I have used Bryce's a few times and it is sooooo light.
