Read Bryce's field tests of the 12x10 in the coil sticky. Also, if you dig up his Ultimate field tests he compares them a bit. You may not be hearing much lately but search this forum for 12x10 and you'll find tons of talk on it. All I'll say is the 12x10 is beyond just an "OK" coil to most people who have used one, on both the FBS and the BBS machines. Depth and separation is fantastic. For me so far this coil is the best coil I've ever used on any machine over the years. Never comes off my machine except for while I'm testing the 13" Ultimate. Still in the early stages of that but it looks to be a great coil too in it's own respect. Different than the 12x10 in certain ways, but never the less a great coil by the looks of it so far. I've got more poker chip target marking to do and then swap coils to see if any shows an advantage. One thing for sure the Ultimate makes deep targets sound about twice is loud to me, though the 12x10 also makes targets louder than my stock coil, and I don't have any trouble hearing the deepest of stuff with it, but still the extra loud nature of the Ultimate is "interesting" and I'm still seeing where that takes me depth wise with it.
Oh by the way, I'm talking about on a BBS machine, so take what I say with a huge grain of salt. Better to read Bryce's field reviews of it and the 12x10 in some comparisons and see what he has to say, as coils can perform different on one model detector versus another.
