12x10 widescan problem

Hello folks- new here -problem already--I have a Cibola that works fine--but when put the larger coil on (coil is new) It is full volume and can do nothing--controls have no affect--I am doing something wrong or just plain bad coil--the Cibola is factory with no mods (yet)--any ideas?? Sounds like either a bad coil or bad connection. make sure you have a nice tight connection.
I had one machine I had to use pliers to get it to tighten up good enough to stop chirping.

Thanks--I thought maybe there something inside control box you need to change or something?--I have the potentiometer kit to do the ground balance mod and wondered if that would cure it--like it's out of it's auto balance range? it's ust strange that on the siler max the bigger head no problem--Cibola is--and I tried what you said just nothing--

My first thought is a bad coil. If you can try it on someone alse's machine and it still doesn;t work, there you go.
